Adoption facts
While we have many cats and kittens available for adoption, many of the sanctuary cats are not available due to their physical and behavioral disabilities and/or the fact that they have endured overwhelming upheaval in their lives.
WHY DO WE HAVE ADOPTIONS?
When a Forget Me Not cat becomes a contender for adoption, it is very rewarding to be able to place it with a loving family. Not only do we have the assurance that the adopted cat or kitten is going to a caring and compassionate forever home, but also, another spot at the sanctuary opens up for a cat who is desperately in need.
OUR ADOPTABLE CATS
Depending on their circumstance and what they have been through, we are able to adopt out some of the cats and kittens that come to the sanctuary. For example: When a feral mother cat or a disabled or injured mother cat is admitted with her litter of kittens, or sick abandoned kittens are nursed back to health, these kittens will be available for adoption. Also, some adult cats may become perfectly adoptable after living and receiving treatment at the sanctuary.
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
We do have a qualifying questionnaire and adoption contract for anyone planning to adopt a Forget Me Not cat or kitten. Please note: If you currently rent your home then we require a letter from your landlord stating that you are allowed to have a cat in your home.
SPAY / NEUTER / VACCINATIONS
All cats that are put up for adoption are spayed or neutered, feline leukemia and FIV tested, given 5-way vaccinations which include FVRCP, leukemia and rabies, are vet-checked and come with their veterinary records.
There is an adoption fee of $100 per cat or kitten that is applied entirely towards covering our veterinary costs.

The operation of our sanctuary relies on donations and fundraising activities.
